It is with great sadness that the family of Alexandra "Alla" Gromow announce her passing on March 28, 2023, at the age of 96.

Alla married Nicholas in 1945 and immigrated to Canada in 1949 to begin a new chapter of their life after the war.
Her philosophy throughout her life was not to look back, but to live life in the moment. She was very independent and was able to live out her life at home; later, with the support of her son George. Always quick-witted and her mind remained sharp. She enjoyed reading and keeping up with current events.

Survived by her children, Valentina King (Alan), Nellie Jaremey (Bill), Nickolas Gromow (Brenda), Rosemarie Massaro and George Gromow; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 1979 and sons Alexander and baby Viktor.

A special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Care Group for their exceptional care of Mom during her stay and final days.

Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma will have a special place in our hearts forever.
