WESTERBACK- Miss. Anita Lydia Helena Westerback age 83 years, a resident of Roseview Manor passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Born in Port Arthur, Anita spent much of her earlier years in Silver Islet and Tee Harbour where her father was a commercial fishermen. Anita attended St. James Public School and later Port Arthur Technical High School. Following high school she worked at the Bank of Montreal until her retirement. As a young woman, Anita developed a passion for travelling throughout Canada, the US and abroad. She loved spending time with her family, enjoying many laughs over the years. During her time at the BMO she developed many special friendships that still exist today. All who were part of Anita's life will always remember her infectious laugh.

Anita will be lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Myrna and Shirley, nieces Karen and Gail Westerback, nephews: Eric (Peg), Rob, David (Jan), Jimmy Westerback, Bill Nicholas and numerous great and great great-nieces and nephews as well by close friends Ena and Mark Conliffe and godson Bob (sister Peg) Magnusson.

She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Elvira Westerback, brothers Lars and John, niece Susan and nephew Brian.

Anita's family would like to thank Dr. Ross Johnson and the staff of Chamberlain Residence of Rosevew Manor for their compassionate care of Anita.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Nancy Ringham presiding. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial donations to the Roseview Resident Council or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
