Obituary for Biagio Ariganello

ARIGANELLO- Mr. Biagio Ariganello, age 87 years, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday June 8, 2015 at TBRHSC. Biagio was born in Serra San Bruno, Catanzaro Italy on November 8,1927, son of Biagio and Grazia (Barillari) Ariganello. It was in Italy where he met and married Maria Concetta Rizzo and the two came to Canada in 1962. He began working locally with Abitibi Forest Products before moving to Great Lakes Forest Products and then finally to Northern Wood Preservers from where he retired. Biagio enjoyed gardening, fishing, making wine and spending time with friends. His greatest pleasure came during time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. He was a former member of the Italian Society of Port Arthur. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maria Concetta, children Biagio (Audra) Ariganello, Grace (Andrew) Cotter, Tony (Victoria) Ariganello and Teresa Jalbert, grandchildren Alyvia, Kaelah, Rhyan, Rebecca, Jonathan, Evan and Ethan, sister Teresa Deleo as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 when family and friends will gather in St. Andrew's R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 am celebrated by Rev. Antoni Fujarczuk. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday June 14 from 1-3 pm in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, where the Vigil Service will begin at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Alzheimer's Society of Thunder Bay would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com
