Bruce Neil “Goochiman” Lachinette
June 19th 1963- January 1st 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Bruce Neil Lachinette announces his unexpected passing on January 1st 2023, at his home in Ottawa, ON.
Bruce was born on June 19th 1963 to Alma May Lachinette in Sioux Lookout, On. This is where Bruce found his passion for the railway and began working for CN Railway. In this time his work brought him all over Canada, but in Thunder Bay is where he was stationed and fell in love. This is when he met Roberta Thompson and well that was that, love at 1st sight. Here they started their family, while he continued to work for CN and did so for most of his life. Bruce was a jokester always laughing however more importantly he had a generous heart of gold. Above all that made Bruce happy were his children Neil, Dallas, and as he called her his danis Ashley. Those were the happiest years of his life. Bruce will forever live on in our hearts and memories and is now at peace with no more pain making his way to back to the Creator.
Bruce is survived by his Son; Dallas Sr. Thompson (Dallas Jr. & Kaelen, Neil), Daughter; Ashley Thompson (Taylor & Tennley) Aliyah (Neil's daughter). His sister; Mary Ann Lachinette. He will be greatly missed by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends too.
He is predeceased by his Mother; Alma May Lachinette, Son Neil Thompson, Sisters; Patsy Anishnabe-Brown & Bernice Makahnouk
A viewing will take place from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in the chapel of Sargent & Son Funeral Home,, 21 North Court Street He will then be taken home with family to Wygaming, where he will be laid to rest alongside family on Friday January 11th 2023 at 11:00 am .
