Obituary for Cecilia Veronica Kwandibens

Mrs. Cecilia Veronica “Lookshe” Kwandibens age 86 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023. Born in Ferland, Ontario on June 15, 1936, the daughter of Mary and David Head. A very sociable woman she enjoyed dancing with friends and family, cooking and baking for the community, and playing cards, bingo and other games. An avid sports fan Lookshe could always be found supporting every Team Canada team and especially her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Her family was her greatest love and she worked hard in raising her strong family. Lookshe will be lovingly remembered by her sister Nora Thompson, daughter Yvette Rose (Rick Mattice) and family; Loretta (Carlee, Brayden, Preston, Phoenix), Kelvin (Mya, Amirah, Kelvina, Aliyah and Ella Rose), Deidre (Denisha, Tiffany, Marshall and Lazarus), Ashley M. and Andrea M., Brenda Kwandibens and family; Maverick (Atheena, Adonis and Silas), Buffy, Nadine and Nathan (Naiyah, Nayden, Nikola, Naevi and Nyrie), Zachery (Chael, Peyton, Ava and Ezra) and Brittany (Arieanna), her grandchildren: Darnell, Nathan, Daphne, Chelsea, Timothy, Marcus, Deliska, Barbara, Arlene, Allison, Phyllis, Roger Jr. and Damien as well as by numerous great grandchildren, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Sr., parents Mary and David Head, children Alfreda, Doreen, Raymond Jr. and Andrew and grandchildren: Julian, Karen, Georgina, Tiffany and Albert. A service to celebrate Lookshe’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street. A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, May 5 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Snows R.C. Church, Armstrong, Ontario. Cremation will follow the services and her ashes will be laid to rest at a later date in Whitesand. The family would like to thank the Dilico Travel Nurse Team and the team at the Lavender Ward at Hogarth-Riverview Manor for the exceptional care they provided.
