Dan Lechow
November 4, 1944 - March 16, 2023
Bohdan Michael Daniel Lechow of Amethyst Harbour passed away on March 16, 2023 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Thunder Bay, ON, after a brief struggle with cancer and other health complications. Dan was 78 years old.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife Lyn McComb Lechow, his longtime partner Sinikka Bisby, and his parents Bohdan and Anne Lechow. He is survived by his sisters Marianne Travis and Dorothy Gilbride. Also, Tyler Brousseau, Shaana Bisby, Tyler Bisby, Neill Gilbride and their families.
Dan worked as an electrician in the Thunder Bay region for over 30 years, starting with C.A. Johnson Electric, then Superior North Electric, and finished his career with Prezio Electric Ltd. He enjoyed his work life, but also enjoyed fishing and took great pride in his lifetime home at Amethyst Harbour. Dan was a loving husband and partner and a great friend, and he will be missed.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and support staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care. As well as a special thanks to Louie Shaw, a life long friend who was always there.
