Obituary for Donald James Kingston

With heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of Donald (Don) Kingston, on December 28, 2015. After a courageous battle with cancer he passed at home with family by his side.
Don loved to travel, loved children, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his antiques and yard sales and was known for his extensive Coke collection.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Elizabeth Kingston, sister Debbie Kingston and nephew Mathew Lagrange.

Survived by his partner Sylvia Nordstrom, his children Kevin Kingston (Crystal) Karen Saari (Bill), Sylvia's children John Nordstrom, Kristina Nordstrom, grandchildren Ayla Scarcello (Chris), Adam Saari (Jaden), Chelsea Kingston, Daniel Kingston, Halina Nordstrom and great-grandchildren Ashlyn and Elyanna Scarcello, his siblings: Heather Lagrange (Jean-Guy), Mary Pickering (Ron), Victoria Kingston, David Kingston (Bonnie), Richard Kingston, Cindy Lapointe (Eugene) and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Monday January 4, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Ed Long of Hilldale Lutheran Church presiding. A private interment will take place at a later date in Nipigon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the TBRHS Foundation Regional Cancer Center or the TBRHS Foundation Northern Cardiac Fund, as both provided Don with excellent care.
