Elsie "Mizinahtay-Keesicgook" Kwandibens, age 74 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Elsie was born on July 28, 1948 in Willette, Ontario and was a member of Whitesand First Nation. Her hobbies included beading, value village, blueberry picking, bingo, the casino, pow-wows, puzzles, crafts and supporting residential survivors.

Elsie will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children Lionel, Marlene, and Emile, her grandchildren Autumn, Tiffany, Sagatay and Hunter, her great grandchildren Shyla, Sienna, Taylor, Jayden, Layla, Believe and Zedekia, her brothers Ignace, Ernie and Peter, her sister Pineshi, her ceremonial pow-wow family as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Elsie was predeceased by her mother Agnes, her father Michael, her brothers Raymond, Joseph, William, her sisters Marianne, Georgina, Lena and others.

A traditional service will be held at 32 King Street in Armstrong, Ontario on Friday, March 24, 2023. Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m.
