Obituary for Giuseppina "Pina" Domenis
DOMENIS- Mrs. Giuseppina 'Pina' age 70 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015. An avid gardener Pina found great pleasure in her geraniums and other flowers and looked forward to spring to get the ball rolling in cultivating her flower and vegetable gardens. A member of Unione Emigranti Sloveni,she looked forward to the annual picnic and other events. She found great enjoyment in the time spent with her family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ezio, sons Albert (Liana) and Giani (Kristan Towsley), grandchildren Andrew and Aidan, and sisters in Italy Angela and Valentina Petricig. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
Pina was predeceased by her parents Bruno and Maria-Dorina (Marceau) Petricig, brother Desiderio Petricig, Luigi (Alma Gusola) Petricig, Maria (Izadore) Borgo and Lucio Petricig who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Alan Albao of Corpus Christi R.C. Church presiding. Interment to follow in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Prayers beginning at 7:30 pm. Should friends desire memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
