We are heartbroken to lose someone so special. Our beloved mother and Gramma, Jackie (Jacqueline) Manduca passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the age of 79. It gives us comfort knowing she is once again reunited with her loved ones; her loving husband, Peter Manduca; her parents, Henry and Francis Kettridge; her siblings that have gone before her, Joan, Steven, and Brian; as well as her son in law, Bill. She definitely smiles proudly down at her precious legacy of children, Lori Vanlenthe, David Manduca, and Donna Pelaia (Cosmo); along with grandchildren Brooke, Nikki, Abby, and Nathan; Marlee, Peter, and Josh; Joe and Michael; and even great grandchildren Everhett, William, Marshall, Raegan and Brielle. After the passing of her husband, her children became her life until the grandchildren stole her heart. We are consoled believing that on her departure, she was the one that kissed our foreheads while we slept last night. She didn’t leave without saying goodbye. She started her retail career working the candy counter at Kmart and retired later as the manager of fashion at Zellers with her honourary lifetime employee discount. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Cathedral Ladies Choir and sang with them for many years. She enjoyed attending annual Quilting Retreats with her loving sister Debbie Fairall. She enjoyed travelling, gardening and knitting in her spare time. She loved all of her numerous pets. She was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed. We will be honoring her on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Sargent and Son Funeral Home for a celebration of her life. A private family interment will follow. Those of you who were fortunate enough to have received a quilt made by her skilled hands, remember, one who sleeps under her quilts is covered with her love!
