Obituary for James Patrick Doyle

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our brother Jim who left us on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Jim passed away at Whitefish Lake, a place he truly loved. Known by many names including Jimmy, Bones, Duckman and Gooseman, hunting with his “Mates” is what he lived for and “Camo” was always piece of his daily attire. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
We want to thank all of Jim’s hunting and fishing mates, especially Peter and Steve who were with him when he died. Jim didn’t have a car but you always made sure he got to Whitefish every year. We know that you are all sad but take comfort in knowing that Jim’s spirit will be ever present with you in the boat and duck blind. An amazing cook, he could cook a roast beef to perfection, maybe sometimes too rare for some, but delicious. Peking Duck was also a dish he cooked, even though it took days to prepare.
Jim is survived by his sisters Debbie (Sandy) and Mary Jane (Nick), brothers Michael (Karen) and Patrick, niece Kelly (Ryan) and their children Brodie and Zak, niece, Zoe, nephew Jackson, nephew Kyle (Crystal) and their children Amaya and Lily, nephew Tyler, nephew Shea, and nephew Michael and his son Tyler, dear friend Laurie as well as by his many mates, and other relatives in Australia, Arizona and Florida. A private interment service will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorials to Ducks Unlimited would be appreciated.
