Obituary for John Robert Gernat

John Robert Gernat Passed away Peacefully at home on June 22,2022 with Family by his side. Born in Thunder Bay on Dec. 18, 1972 to John and Betty Gernat. John Lived Life to the Fullest and made Many Memories and Experiences along the way. His Family meant Everything to him and when needed his Big Heart would Shine. Always a Prankster with a Sense of Humor and Loved to make Everyone Laugh. Always Spoke his Mind but Always Stayed True to Himself. He met the Love of his Life Jennifer and Spent 19 years of Happiness until her Passing. His Children and Grandchildren were his Pride and Joy and he would Light Up and have a Constant Smile with Every Visit. He had a Special Bond with his Dad. Said he was the Most Special Person in his Life. During his illness he kept saying "Mom isn't ready yet for Me to go Drive her Crazy". But we know she was waiting with Open Arms in Heaven. He Graduated Grade 12 from Gron Morgan High School, enjoying Workshop and making Furniture. He had an Artistic Talent. His Drawings were Exceptional. Every Detail and Love put into them and gave to Family. In 1994 he started Working at CP Rail for 27yrs on Track Maintenance Thermite Gangs.
John will be Deeply Missed by his Dad John, Son Josh(Jessica), Daughter Ilisha (Anthony), Grandchildren Peyton, Arya, Jack, Drusus, Zarina. Sisters Virginia (Terry), Chantele. Brother Clark (Jennifer). As well as Nieces and Nephews and Many Extended Family and Friends.
He is Predeceased by the Love of his Life Jennifer. Mom Betty and Sister Lynn.

Dr Miller, Aron Medd, All Paramed Nursing, Care Partners, The Northwest Team,his Care Coordinator Jennifer,Natalie from Vital Air. Thank You for All your Exceptional Care and Compassion to Keep Johnny Comfortable at Home. You are Truly All Angels.
Cremation has Taken Place and burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 with a celebration of life for John at 912 Mountain Road following at 3:00 p.m.
