Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lawrence Allard can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

So many great times with a very dear friend, it is difficult to know which story to share in this time of need. Lorne loved to laugh and have a good time so maybe a little humour wood be well-timed. All those who have ever received directions from Lorne about how to get somewhere will surely chuckle when they think back on it.  My favourite was Lorne leading us on a "half-hour easy hike on a good trail'" to a secret fishing spot. Two hours later, after crashing through dense brush, soaked with sweat, our waders ripped to shreds, our patience tested to its limit, Lorne was still insisting it was just over the next hill. We did eventually get there only to meet another fisherman who confirmed that he had indeed walked there in half an hour on a good trail. We did not catch any fish and Lorne did continue, for many more years,  to provide precise directions to many other adventurers.

Perhaps the best a man can hope for when he leaves this life is that those who knew him say that he was a "GOOD" man. I for one say they don't come any better than my friend Lorne.
