The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lawrence Allard can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I remember as a young boy hanging out at Lorne's shop all the time talking and telling stories about our two favorite things, fishing and hockey. He always made time for me no matter how busy he was. Lorne also was the one who introduced me to steelhead fishing. Throughout my childhood years he would let me tag along on many fishing trip. He taught me how to become a better angler. Lorne was in a way my menter and if it wasn't for him I don't know if I would be where I am today.
It was a sad day when I heard about Lorne's passing. His memories and big smile will never be forgotten. Tightlines to you Lorne, you will be missed.
My condolences go out to the intire family.

Condolence From: Tom Whalley
Condolence: It's been over 40 years since my dad first took me to Lorne's shop, but I remember it vividly - a big smile, a big laugh and a memorable warmth. Many afternoons were spent in Lorne's company in my youth, rummaging through tackle bins and pouring over photo albums, listening to stories and telling a few, as well. I was fortunate to have spent some days on the river with Lorne, and fondly recall many an evening spent around the dinner table on Nicol Island with Lorne, Hank, Andre and Bart, talking of Hockey and Steelhead. Lorne was a real Gentleman, a friend to the community and to my family; he will be greatly missed.

Tight lines, Lorne ! Save a little room on the river for me ...

Condolence: Jean,
When I think of Lorne, I think of camp and all the wonderful years spent by the lake. Our families shared many summers in and on the water, on the beaches, riding our bikes on the dirt roads and trails, all the blueberries we picked and marshmallows we roasted over many campfires. My sisters and I grew up with your kids under Lorne's watchful eye. My Mom and Dad always talked about Lorne and how interesting he was; such great stories. My mom still talks about buying that motor from Lorne and canoeing over every weekend with a $10 bill tucked in her smim top to pay for it.
So sorry for your loss but I know my dad and Lorne are talking about camp right now and smiling down on us.
Lots of love and hugs from the Tomes' and Lorenowich families

Condolence: To Jean and the Allard Family. We were shocked and saddened to learn of Lorne's passing. What a guy he was, always there to help, without any thought of reward. Prepared to do his best for his community and his friends. Too few people like Lorne come along in a lifetime. We'll miss him.
