Obituary for Lenore Maryln Marie Paterson-Post

PATERSON-POST

It is with heavy hearts we announcing the passing of Lenore Paterson-Post on June 21st. Born in Portage La Prairie on September 14th, 1945 to Charles and Gregorine Sloik, you'd never guess this larger than life personality came from such humble beginnings. Regardless of the location Lenore loved making her spaces elegant and comfortable and most of all she made anyone feel wonderfully welcome in them. Educated as a psychologist Lenore started her working career in Thunder Bay at the LPH but switched gears to follow her true passion in cooking. The Cooking Post was in many ways ahead of it's time - fun and intimate cooking classes along with great catering and dinner parties. She was a member of the Thunder Bay Chefs Du Cusine and an honorary chef. Lenore also dedicated a great amount of time and effort into the Thunder Bay Women's Breast Cancer Support Group of which she was a founding member.
We're all happy that she can once again be with her late husband Jim whom passed four short years ago. She loved family and friends dearly and we will forever have an unfillable void she filled in our hearts; she is survived by brother Irwin (Shirley); sons Jonathan (Grace-Anne) and Gavin (Trish); step-sons Kent, Blair and Drew; grandchildren Ethan, Evan and Lola.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday June 26th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Sargent and Son Funeral home, 21 N. Court Street. Donations to the TBRHS Foundation- Northern Cancer Fund in her honour are welcomed and greatly appreciated. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
Sincere thanks to all the members of the Thunder Bay community who provided great care and sincere love for her.
