BRAS- Mrs. Maria J. Bras, age 82 years, passed away peacefully in Pioneer Ridge on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Maria was born in Portugal on December 12, 1932 and came to Canada with her husband Joao in December of 1962. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who’s favorite times were those spent with her family. Maria enjoyed knitting for family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Carlos, Joe, John and Tony, 5 grandchildren as well as by other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Joao and son Victor. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Alan Albao presiding. The interment will take place at St. Andrew’s R.C. Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Sunday, August 16th from 1-3 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Chapel.
