PASQUALINO- Mrs. Marietta Pasqualino, age 83 years, passed away with loving family at her side in the T.B.R.H.S.C. on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Marietta was born in Siderno, Italy on August 25, 1935, the daughter of Francesco and Rosina Macri. It was in Italy where she met Michelangelo Pasqualino and the two were married on January 25, 1964. Shortly after their wedding they immigrated to Fort William and started a family. Marietta's lifelong focus was caring for her family and her greatest joy came from spending time with them, especially with her beloved granddaughter Mikalah. She was a wonderful cook and she loved to bake. Many family and friends were the beneficiaries of her hard work in the kitchen. She was a longtime member of St. Dominic's R.C. Church. Marietta will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Michelangelo, daughter Frances, son Rob (Breanne), granddaughter Mikalah, step-daughter Mariella Macri, sister Nella (Bruno) Laselva, sister-in-law Antonietta Macri as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her son Vincenzo, her parents, and her brothers Joe, Vince and Michele Macri. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 when family and friends will gather in St. Dominic's R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Maurizio Maifredi c.s.. The entombment will follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum. Visitation for friends will be held on Thursday from 5-7 p.m with the Vigil Service at 7 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street. In lieu of flowers memorials to the charity of your choice or to the trust fund for daughter Frances Pasqualino (cheques payable to Frances Pasqualino) would be appreciated.
