Obituary for Mary Beatrice "Betty" Bovin
It is with sadness that the family of Mary Beatrice “Betty” Bovin announces her passing on November 11, 2022 at Southbridge Roseview at the age of 78.
Betty loved to sew, listen to music, play Yahtzee and cards, dancing, growing houseplants, and spending time with family and friends.
Betty is lovingly remembered by her son Joe (Margaret) and her daughter Donna; siblings Annette (Don), Edna (Jim), Larry (Donna), and Vicky; grandchildren: Aaron, Matthew, Elizabeth, Patrick, Dean, Serenity, Braeden, Nevyn, Precious, and Hannah; great-grandchildren: Xavier, Emma, Bella, and Ethan.
She was predeceased in death by her parents Frederick & Josephine Wanakamik, spouse Robert “Bob” Sherlock, and daughter Bonnie Bovin.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Southbridge Roseview for their care and support of their mother Beatrice.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel in Thunder Bay. Betty will then be taken to Armstrong, Ontario where a wake and refreshments will be held at Our Lady of the Snows Church from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, November 16, a viewing will take place from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by prayers from 10:30-11:00 a.m., both at Our Lady of the Snows Church. At 11:00 a.m., Betty will go to Wagamming for a 12:00 p.m. service. From 1-2 p.m. there will be a luncheon in Whitesand at the Multiplex.
