Obituary for Nelson Henry Peake (Peake)

Nelson passed away at home in Thunder Bay on April 24, 2021.

In the early years Nelson worked for Trans Canada pipeline, then he was a heavy equipment mechanic in the forest industry. A passionate golfer, he would often be flying off somewhere for a weekend of golf. He thoroughly enjoyed boating, water skiing and traveling. After his stroke, through his determination and stubbornness, he taught himself to walk. Nelson liked his sports, history and storytelling in his later years.

Nelson will be dearly missed by his wife Lisa, children James (Brittany) and Lasha (Sam) of whom he was so proud, sisters Betty (Mike) and Linda (Larry), sister-in-law Tammy (Cal) as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was predeceased by parents, James and Mary, and mother-in-law Nona Tkachuk, father-in-law Bill Tkachuk.

As expressions of sympathy memorials to the T.B.R.H.S. Foundation-Northern Cancer Fund or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
