The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nina Maltese can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Dear Family. I was saddened to see of your mom's passing. She was such a wonderful lady. I remember her so fondly, along with your dad,as a big part of my childhood and young adult life. Every time I was in the store, which was often ha ha, they both always had big smiles and were always very kind. You all can be proud to be children of such terrific people. I ran into your mom only a few times over the years after leaving our Pearl St house. The last time I saw her was several years ago when she was in the hospital at the same time as my mom and she and I had a nice chat and did a little catching up. Dave, you did such a wonderful job speaking at your mom's service. It was great to hear your stories about her. It is so wonderful that you had the strength to be able to speak about your mom at what is such a sorrowful time in your life. I am sure your mom would be grateful for your courage and that you made people chuckle and smile, remembering her. I lost my mom last year and she lived with us for six years as she was struggling with dementia. I miss her terribly but keep her close every day as I am sure you all will because of your great love for your mom. It is a hard thing to lose your mother, and yet, they never leave us. Thinking of you all and wishing you some lightness of heart during this difficult time in your lives. My deepest sympathies, Kris
