Obituary for Rae Charlotte Towegishig

Rae Charlotte Towegishig will forever be missed. The day she left us is the day we will never be the same again. She’ll be greatly missed by her partner Blayne Shewaybick and their daughter Elizabeth who will always be her little princess. Raes greatest possession was Elizabeth, the day she had her was the day she’ll never forget, she changed her life for the better.
She leaves behind her parents Dionne Legarde (Jeanine), Sharianne Towegishig (Dillon), and In-law Venessa (James). Grandparents; Susan, Joe, Victor, and Gurtrude. She had a big loving family which includes her sisters Destiny (Kyle), Amanda (Aaron), Summer (Ervin Jr), Tammy, Taidyn, Comrie, Creedance, and Brothers Dionne Jr, Tyrell, Connor and Preston. She also left behind 10 nieces and nephews, lots of Aunts and uncles, and great grandma Charlotte. Rae was studying to become a personal support worker, she was determined to prove that even with her learning disabilities she could do it. Rae always lit up a room and made you feel happy even if you were in a bad mood. Her laugh was contagious and had an amazing personality, she had many friends, as she was very outgoing and wasn’t afraid to say exactly how she felt. Some of the things that Rae loved were shopping, doing her makeup, studying, lab work, spending time with her family, and learning about her culture. One of her dreams was to have a jingle dress with 365 jingles that represented missing and murdered aboriginal woman. Her dream will be fulfilled by the community living hub and the dress will be passed down to Raes family members.
