It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert John Podlaski on July 11, 2022 at his home in Thunder Bay, ON. Robert was born on Sept. 28, 1981 in Winnipeg, MB. After graduating from Hillcrest High School, he continued his education in the Multi Media Program at Confederation College. Robert always enjoyed working with computers and it was always his dream to produce his own video. He worked at a variety of jobs, always greeting people with his smile. Later in life, he found comfort in music, playing his guitar and singing. He was creative, genuine, and had a big heart, that left a mark on many of us. With his contagious laugh, through song, or through stories, Rob influenced many people in the area over the years. Rob was a soft hearted individual who did his best to help other throughout life in spite of his deep struggles. We hope to honour Robert’s memory by cherishing the positivity he brought into our lives.

Robert is survived by daughter, Samantha Araya, mother, Sandra Soderholm, three brothers, Jamie (Aryanna), Joey (Eva), and Dale (Kayli), grandparents Marion (Eddie) Loda, aunts, Wendy Kowalczyk and Darlene (Mark) Lepinsky, many cousins, and his special friend, Tammy Blake. Predeceased by his father Richard Podlaski, step father Gary Soderholm, and uncle Brian Kowalczyk.

Thank you for being part of our lives. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

You will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration will be held with the family at a later date.
