REID- Mrs. Shirley Ann Reid, age 84 years, died as a result of complications from Covid-19 on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Roseview Manor. Shirley was born in Fort William on October 23, 1936, the daughter of Christie and Annie Pero. Shirley grew up in the East End and was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Branch #5 of the Royal Canadian Legion. She enjoyed camping, knitting and spending time at the casino. Shirley was married to the love of her life Robert Reid for over 61 years until his passing in April of this year and together they raised 3 children. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sons Rod and Ossie, grandchildren Christie (Brady), Robert and Cheryl, 4 great grandchildren, brother Ron Pero, sister Judy Mazurski (Mark) as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Robert, son Christopher, brother John Pero parents Christie and Annie Pero. A memorial to celebrate the life of Shirley Ann Reid will be held at a later date.
