HEISKANEN- Mrs. Anni Heiskanen, age 89 years, passed away peacefully at the T.B.R.H.S.C. on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Anni was born in Port Arthur on July 24, 1928 and was a lifetime resident. She was a longtime member of Hilldale Lutheran Church. Her greatest love was for her family, especially her grandchildren, and she was happiest during time spent with them. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Aimo, daughter Shirley (George) Blanchette, grandsons Gerald (Jennifer) and Bryan (Alicia) Blanchette, great grandchildren Kaylee, Colby, Edward and Alexandria, sisters-in-law Vi Renaud and Helvi Moore as well as by other relatives in the U.S.A., Finland and Sweden. She was predeceased by her son Dennis Heiskanen and her parents Juho and Fanny Luoto. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Anni Heiskanen will be held on Thursday Aug 2 at 11:00 a.m. in Hilldale Lutheran Church with Rev. Jari Lahtinen presiding. The interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy memorials to Hilldale Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
