September 30, 1957 - January 31, 2014
Mr. Carl Philmon Cote, age 56 years, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January 31, 2014. He was born in Nipigon, Ontario on September 30, 1957 and was predeceased by his mother Gladys in 1993 and his father Maurice in 2013. Carl moved to Thunder Bay (Port Arthur) with his family in 1960. As a young adult he enjoyed watching and playing various sports hockey, baseball, curling and football. Carl found great pleasure in coaching young children in various sports. He also enjoyed annual trips to Puerta Vallarta Mexico where he met up with old friends and made new ones. His main focus in life was his family and work, later in life he discovered a passion for wood work. He was employed at Provincial Papers in the Coating Plant for 30 years.
He is survived by his son's Sean and Jordan Cote, siblings Donna, Maurice (Janis), Richard (Leanne), Penny Young and Donald along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 North Court Street, on Monday February 10, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Ivany presiding. Visitation for family and friends will be held 1 hour prior to service time. A private interment will be held at a later date.
