The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dr. George Morrison can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: Dr. Brian Dingle and Victoria Warwick
Condolence: My wife, Vikki and I knew George through his work on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario where I served with George on council and several committees for many years. As a younger member of the College Council, I did turn to him for advice on a number of issues, and, in my memory anyway, we always seemed to agree. He was a kind, fair and gentle man with a subtle sense of humor, and his contributions to the College helped to improve its function. Our condolences are offered to his wife and children. He was a lovely man.

Condolence: Mary & family, I was sorry to hear of George's recent passing. I billeted with Mary & George in 1985 while attending Lakehead University and fondly remember the the kindness and generosity that made my stay there feel warm and comfortable. I did enjoy the wine spritzers that George had at the ready after my hockey games. All the best and my thoughts are with you all. Ian

Condolence: A truly devoted physician who was active in leadership roles throughout his life and attended CME events well behind the time when most people retire. He had a genuine love for learning and that no doubt contributed to his longevity and mental vitality. He was a gentleman, a great colleague and a role model for young physicians. I am glad to have had the opportunity to know him professionally and personally and will miss him.
