Obituary for Elsie Atcheson

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elsie Atcheson on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in the TBRHSC. Elsie was a lifelong resident of Thunder Bay (Port Arthur), born in 1932. Her working career included terms at several local businesses such as Eatons, ultimately ending at Canada Manpower. In 1975, she married Staff Sergeant James Atcheson of the Thunder Bay Police Department. Elsie enjoyed cooking, often bringing her baking to work to share with her fellow employees at coffee breaks.
Elsie is survived by her brother Walter of Toronto, as well as one aunt in Thunder Bay and several cousins across the country. She was predeceased by her husband Jim, her parents as well as aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Elsie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Randy Boyd presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations to War Amps, Salvation Army, Lung Association, TBRHCS – Cancer Care or to the Parkinson Society would be greatly appreciated.
