Obituary for Gail Morgan

MORGAN, GAIL

On the morning of Oct 28, 2016 Gail Elizabeth Morgan (Lindahl), a loving wife, mother and grandmother, slipped away peacefully to be reunited with her mother and father.
Born July 31, 1933 in Port Arthur, to Agnes (Lees) and Conrad Lindahl, she was the 2nd of 3 daughters. Gail grew up on Peter St and attended Prospect and Hillcrest High School where she met her loving husband of 63 years, Tal Morgan.
After being a busy mother of 3 herself, she entered the retail market and enjoyed many years of serving customers at Matthews, The Linen Closet and the Treasure House just to name a few. Gail enjoyed travelling many times to BC and Alberta to visit her children and grandchildren as well as through Ontario and the US to keep in touch with family and even Scotland once with her mother to connect with her roots.
She was much appreciated by her family for the many warm and colourful sweaters that she knit over the years and whenever a batch of welsh cakes was being made few made it to the freezer. Luckily she was willing to pass on these gifts to her family. An avid gardener she and Tal always kept up a beautiful flower and vegetable patch for family and friends to enjoy and feast from.
Gail is survived by her husband Tal, her 3 children Michael (Jocelyn), Karen (Ken) Day, Andrew (Jan) her grandchildren John Van Slyke, Caitlin (Greg) Sabatino, Morgan Day, Madison and Bryn Morgan and great granddaughter Mackenzie Sabatino. Also survived by her sisters Lois Riddell and Ann (Geoff) Mullin along with many nieces and nephews. Gail was predeceased by her parents Agnes and Conrad Lindahl.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Bethammi LTC 3rd floor for their wonderful care of Gail for the past 6 months, along with Dr. Scali and Dr. Miller.
Funeral Services will be held Sat Nov 5 at 3:00pm at St Paul's United Church on Waverly St.
Donations if desired can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, Northern Cancer Fund or Juvenile Diabetes Research Fdn. Arrangements entrusted to the Sargent & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 21 N. Court Street. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
