Obituary for Graziano Coceancic

COCEANCIC- It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Graziano (Marc) Coceancic, age 73 years, of Frankwood Ave. announce his peaceful passing with his loving family by his side on Monday, January 14 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospice Unit. Morris was born on September 3, 1939 in San Martino Quisca, Yugolsavia. Morris immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings in 1951. He worked in the tobacco fields of southern Ontario and then on the steam ship lines of the Great Lakes. Morris then settled in Port Arthur and worked for Abitibi Provincial Papers until his retirement. He met and married Margie Erickson in 1960 and they raised three beautiful children - Dean, Cathy and David. The Habs have lost their number one fan. Morris was lucky enough to go to his first Habs game in Toronto last spring with his sons, son-in-law and grandsons, playing his rival team - the Leafs. Much to his delight, the Habs won 5:0. Morris' love of outdoors has been passed along to his children and grandchildren. He always had a good story to tell and loved to socialize. He never went anywhere without his faithful companion "Buddy". Morris' garden was one of his passions. He loved to share his harvest with family and friends. Everyone that knew Morris, knew that they were always welcome. Morris will be sadly missed and always loved and remembered by his wife Margie, with whom he shared in 52 years of marriage, children: Dean (Anna), Cathy (George) Cava, and David (Susan); grandchildren: Joshua, Jenna, Jamie, Michela, Sandra and Nathan; brother Danilo (Anita), sister Lillian (Archie) Bergamo as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Dominic and Alessandro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Luigi Filippini presiding. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Chapel. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the St. Joseph's Foundation-Hospice Unit or the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society would be appreciated.
