Obituary for James Wilfred Sutton

James Wilfred  Sutton
James Wilfred Sutton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2016 following a short stay in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Jim was born on November 7, 1939 in Toronto, On and moved with his family to Fort William in 1945. He was educated in Fort William and following high school, worked in succession for Marathon Corporation, Wilson’s in Dryden and George Hill Supply in Thunder Bay. In 1973, he was instrumental, along with business partner Peter Knudsen, in starting Equipment World Inc. where he worked until his retirement. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed involvement with the Boy Scouts of Canada and Air Cadets, as well as coaching and refereeing hockey for many years.
Jim was predeceased by father Wilfred (1976), mother May (1995) and his first wife Gayle (also 1995). He is survived by his wife Jean, stepdaughters Katya Rudzik, Nikki Rudzik (Andrei Zagureskii) and brother Dave (Gerri). Grandpa Jim to Jonah and Toby Milo and Ania and Sasha Rudzik. Survived by eleven other nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by Mike Milo.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, 639 Grey Street. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Charity of your Choice. Online condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.ca
