Condolence: My deepest sympathy to the Kaplanis extended family. Taken way too soon but God had other plans for him. I always knew when AJ was in Thunder Bay or other areas of the country with Paddy and Joe, he was in good hands and I had nothing to worry about. He loved his Thunder Bay family-Joe, Paddy and Larry were his brothers and he had a special alliance with them. He stayed with Norma and Paddy during the summer for almost 2 decades. I am Paddy's cousin and therefore spent a lot of time with Joey either relaxing at Lake Lenore, golfing, dinner out or dining at his place (great cook) or partying at someone's home over the 40 some years that I knew Joey. He was a wonderful, generous fun loving man. We will miss you Joey. Have fun with Paddy, AJ and Arnie up there.

I worked almost all of my career in suppression with Joe and then administration. He was a true professional. Tough but fair, brave and loyal, he made work fun.
