Obituary for Laurence Anthony Bonazzo

BONAZZO- Mr. Laurence Anthony Bonazzo, age 83 years, passed away in the T.B.R.H.S.C. on Friday, March 14, 2014 after a brief illness. Laurence was born in Fort William on July 18, 1930 to Bruno and Emilia Bonazzo and was a lifetime resident. He worked for many years as a Millwright prior to becoming the Business Agent for the Millwright and Machine Erectors Union Local 1151. Laurence enjoyed spending time at his camp at Eva Lake and was also very passionate about music, learning to play both the keyboard and guitar. His family was very important to him and he was happiest when spending time with them. Laurence is survived by his wife Shirley, children Judy (Bill) Hryciw, Larry (Sundae) and Rod (Karen), grandchildren: Sheri (Joel), Mandy (Chad), Ryan (Karen), Sean, Kyle, Corry and Jamie; great grandchildren Teighlor, Jacy and Arya, brothers Reg (Marion) and Allen (Emma), sister Jeanette George as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, leaving the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street at 10:00 a.m. to St. Anthony's R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini. The interment service will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Tuesday, March 18th from 6-7 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Chapel where the Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the T.B.R.H.S.C.
