Obituary for R. Craig Nesbitt Mr.

NESBITT- Mr. R. Craig Nesbitt age 86 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away at the T.B.R.H.S.C. on Friday, January 25, 2013. Craig was born on December 15, 1926 in Port Arthur to Lloyd and Winnifred Nesbitt. He worked at Provincial papers for 42 years retiring in 1988 and was a lifelong member of St. John's Anglican Church. An active volunteer, Craig enjoyed volunteering with track and field as a qualified official, The Red Cross Blood Clinic and Disaster Relief , as a committee member of the Christmas Cheer Fund, UNICEF, Mission to Seafarers, St. John's Anglican Church and the Dew Drop Inn. He and Dorothy enjoyed travelling all over the world to places like Machu Pichu, the Great Wall of China, The Nile River and Ayers Rock. Craig enjoyed his summers at the family camp at Amethyst Heights and his winters in Hawaii. He also enjoyed curling with the EZDUZIT curling group and bowling with various seniors groups. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years Dorothy(nee Sherriff), sons: James (Lori) of Brampton, Bruce (Pat ) of Thunder Bay and Alan (Kathy) of Mississauga, grandchildren Kali and Ryan, brothers-in-law: Donald (Shirley) Sherriff, Wallace (Charlotte) Sherriff, Alan (Carol) Sherriff all of Toronto, and Douglas (Eunice) Smith of Owen Sound. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Winnifred Nesbitt and siter-in-law Helen (Sherriff) Smith. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. John's Anglican Church, with Rev. Mary Lucas officiating. A private interment at Riverside Cemetery will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
