We were sorry to learn of Rita's passing. As an avid theatre goer, she visited us many times in Niagara-on-the-Lake while attending the Shaw Festival. We shared many fine meals and conversations about books, basket weaving, card making and news of Thunder Bay. We will miss her this May, as she had plans to take in the new plays once again.
Our condolences to Rita's family and friends.

So sorry to learn about Miss Sinihelmi's passing. She was a wonderful teacher. Her no-nonsense teaching mixed with a very sharp wit always kept me on my toes. She really did a great job in preparing her students for post-secondary studies, and I always enjoyed bumping into her around town from time to time to catch up with her and learn about her new endeavours and adventures. She will definitely be missed, and I will always be grateful to her for being such a great teacher and positive influence.

So great to see many of the Selkirk Family share their feeling about Rita. She was simply one of the best teachers. She had a bit of a sharp edge that masked a caring and thoughtful educator. I graduated from SCVI in 1983 and every time I bumped into her when I visited home she was always so happy to hear about my life and took her share of pride in my accomplishments. Much love here for Rita!
