Obituary for Rosina Elena Bruno

BRUN0- Mrs. Rosina Elena Bruno (nee Pucci) age 76 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Born, June 9, 1941 in Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy to Giuseppe Pucci and Antonia Ciddio. She married Mario Bruno in 1959 and they had two children Filomena and Emilio. She moved to Port Arthur, Canada with her husband and children in 1963. She worked for many years in the service industry, including the cafeteria of Lakehead University, the kitchen of various restaurants, and as part of the housekeeping team at the Valhalla Inn until her retirement.

Rosina is survived by her husband Mario, 2 children, daughter Filomena Eng, son Emilio Bruno (Yvonne), 5 grandchildren, Christopher Eng, Jennifer Suarez (Aleks), Andrew Eng, Brody Bruno and Tyson Bruno, great-grandchildren Sophia Eng and Noah Suarez.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 when family and friends will gather in St. Anthony's R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 2:00 pm, celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini. Entombment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street. Should friends desire, memorial donations to Autism Ontario Thunder Bay District Chapter. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.

A special thank you to Rosa's sister Nella Bruno-Bossio and her family for all the support and caring they have shown to Rosa over the years. You were the one person she could always count on and for that I am forever grateful. You are truly the best sister and the best aunt a person could ever ask for!
