Obituary for Tracey Shyiak

SHYIAK- Tracey Shyiak, age 47 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends, after a brief illness in St. Joseph’s Care Group on Sunday, December 9, 2012. Tracey was born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba on February 17, 1965 to Jerry and Susan Shyiak. She moved to Port Arthur with her family in the fall of 1965. After growing up in Thunder Bay she moved to Southern Ontario where she spent most of her adult life. Tracey chose to return to her childhood home to spend her final days surrounded by family. Tracey was an artistic person who enjoyed painting, crafts, gardening, home décor and was an avid figure skater in her younger years. She was a very social person whose door was always open for family and friends. She made many internet friends on the site Buzzle whose friendships she cherished. She is survived by her husband Steve Czegel, children Alexis and Chloe, parents Jerry and Christine, siblings: Dayna, Brock (Heather), Meghan and Melissa, grandmother Elsie Shyiak, dear friends Randy, Lisa and Dianne as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by her mother Susan. Visitation for friends will be held Wednesday (Today) from 3-5 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street.
