The passing of this great woman is a loss to all who knew her and benefitted from her grace, wisdom, intelligence, philanthropy (so many) and deep, deep kindness, as did I.
Ironically, not so long ago as I was packing to move house, I re-read all her beautiful notes and cards from yesteryear where we spent time together raising funds for Lakehead University. She was a powerhouse and immensely generous in her mentorship.
John-Philip, your note is the sweetest tribute. She would be smiling at and proud of those words.
She often spoke beautifully of her family and cherished you - fortification for you all to go forward.
