Mr. George Boyd Whitefield O.St.J., C.D., age 96 years passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2016 with his loving wife by his side in Roseview Manor.

George was born on April 7, 1920 to parents Thomas and Rose Whitefield in Newport, Rhode Island. George was a lifelong member of St. John’s Ambulance and was a proud member of Lake Superior Scottish Regiment Reserve (RSM).

George will be lovingly remembered by his wife Kamma, son Lee (Pauline) of Victoria, B.C. and daughter Donna (Larry) Glen of Toronto, On, grandchildren Farron, Kendall, Lyndsay, Dustin and Kristy of B.C. and David and Heather of Toronto, On, brother Bill, David and Raymond, sisters-in-laws Mary, Gulli, Marilyn and Corinne.

George was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Rose Whitefield, brothers Samuel, Thomas, Robert, John and Walter.

As per George’s request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to St. John’s Ambulance or War Amps would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
