The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Whitefield can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

I am so sad to learn of George's passing. He was my boss at Kakabeka Provincial Park in the summer of 1974.He was such a nice man. He was a real gentleman with a sense of humour and always a twinkle in his eyes. He would take me once in awhile on a lunch break to go and get ice cream at Sutton's in Kakabeka. Whenever I would see him and your mom in later years, he always had time to talk. Your mother and him were so in love. The last time I saw him was at the Regional and we had coffee in the coffee shop. I will remember him with fondness and a smile. May he rest in peace.
