The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Thompson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

ian and Family. I was so very sorry and saddened with the news of Joan''s passing. She was a dear co-worker, neighbour and sincere friend. Met Joan very early in my arrival to Thunder Bay in Selkirk high. She would bounce in every morning with the glitter in her beautiful eyes and light up the office with her Hi and Goodmorning. Will always remember that. I also was at Churchill and shared time working with her there. Last chatted with her for only a moment at the market in Thunder Bay May 2015. My nephew from Ottawa who stayed with me while attending the faculty of Ed. Had her as her Phys. Ed. Instructor. Her expertise was shared all over with many many students. My sincere sympathy to you and your family Ian at this time of loss. As you grieve her loss my prayers and thoughts are with all of you. God Bless. Vi Turner Ottawa, on
