Please accept my sincerest sympathy to the family. The Slater family grew up on the same street that my family were. There were 3 Scottish families...the Slaters, the Shannons, and the McNaughtons and 1 Norwegian family..the Hartviksens. We were on the short Margaret Street. We were all good friends growing up and going to Prospect Avenue school.
