I met Charlie on my first day of my first "adult" job when I started out as an apprentice in the Composing Room at the Chronicle-Journal. Charlie was the Chapel Chairman of the union at the time and I learned what it meant to be a union member, what was expected of me as an employee and along with guidance from Charlie as well as the other members of the International Typographical Union went on to continue my career in the trade... going on 35 years now. Thanks Chaz!
